September Challenge

Good Morning to you all, I hope everyone is OK and all set for a brand new challenge with lots of prizes to be won.

Before I tell you about the new theme, I need to let you know that we are having a bit of a change around this month and instead of doing our 'In the Spotlight' feature, we're looking for some Guest Designers. So this is how it's going to work, if you would like to be considered as a Guest Designer, just add GD next to your name when you enter this month's challenge. When we do our mid month post on 18th September we will announce the name of the lucky person who will be our October Guest Designer. Then when the winners are announced at the end of September we will announce another name who will be our Guest Designer for November.

So now for the theme, I know lots of you are well into your seasonal crafting so this should be an easy one:

******Early Christmas Makes******

As always you can make a card, gift, tag, altered item and so on, as long as you follow the Christmas theme and remember that the focal element of your work must be a stamped image and no digi images. Any  entries failing to meet the requirements will be ineligible and although I always try and leave a note to explain, this is time consuming and takes up the DT's time when they could be visiting other entries, the majority of who do follow the simple rules.

We are again blessed with some wonderful sponsors and a super collection of prizes, first up we welcome our regular sponsor Sir Stampalot, with a prize for the winning entry using a Penny Black stamp.

Sir Stampalot stock a huge range of Penny Black stamps including the new Christmas 2012 collection, as well as products from all the leading craft companies. The great prize from them this month:

We welcome a new sponsor this month The Art of Craft:

"We stock everything you could possibly need for creative cardmaking -  a large selection of embossing folders, cutting dies from Memory Box, Cheery Lynn, Cottage Cutz, Joycrafts!, Marianne etc. together with peel off stickers, rubber stamps, punches and a huge variety of embellishments.  Please visit us at our shop or online."

They are offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher to use in their store.
Next up our very own Penny Black, I know I say this most months but as there are always new crafters joining in for the first time who may not know that you can sign up to the Penny Black Club so that you are one of the first to hear about new releases and products.

Super prizes from them a gain this month and yes, that is a pack of the brand new Madison DP's which are really fabulous and include designs suitable for Autumn, Christmas and all year round:

Our final prize is a pretty collection of ribbons and embellishments, you will find all the ribbons at  Pretty Little Ribbons:

Do pop over to Sarah's store and check out all the lovely ribbons, seam bindng, embellishments and much more to adorn your cards.

Now for some inspiration from the design team who all look to be really enjoying making a start on their Christmas cards and have come up with a fabulous collection of work.

Emma, my super teami form Allsorts joins us as our Guest Designer this month

Good Morning everybody, the weeks seem to be flying by and already it's time to announce the two talented crafters selected from our July challenge enetries who have made it into our 'In the Spotlight' feature. So without further ado, I am very please to introduce Christa and Lena Katrine

Christa
Lovely components which all work so well together, beautiful soft colour palette

Here is what Christa had written about her crafting journey:

Before I start to introduce myself I want to say a big THANK YOU to the designteam for choosing me for your spotlight-winner. I feel really honoured and it means a lot to me.

I live in Holland , I’m 48 years young and I started scrapbooking in 2005. Only a couple of years ago I discovered the card-making with stamps.  First I used Magnolia’s , but now I am trying different brands. At the moment I love to colour with my distress-ink-refill’s. I don’t know how to describe my style of cardmaking ….

I like vintage a lot , my colours are never too bright and my cards always seem to be too small for everything I want to put on it. Since I have started my blog I have met so many lovely scrapfriends. It is such a great hobby ! I wouldn't know what to do without it ….

Love from Holland , Christa.

Lena Katrine
A stunning creation with gorgeous flowers and dies, fabulous colours and
matches the theme perfectly.

And from Lena Katrine:

I've always been doing all sorts of crafting, and I still love knitting and crotetching once in a while, but started paper crafting in the year of 2006 and got hooked! When I started blogging in 2008, my love for paper crafting really hit the roof!

There's so many talented crafters/artists out there, and they're all giving me lots of inspiration, along with so many other things around me. I love the smell of rubber stamps and papers, the beauty in pretty embellishments like flowers, pearls, lace and ribbon, and the relaxing and fun feeling of creating something new and unique.

I love colouring images with promarkers, prismacolors and distress ink, and so bringing the caracters in to life. I love trying out new foldings, technics and items, and I'm always trying to develope myself as a crafter.

Thank you so much for the space in your spot light!

Congratulations to both, please go pick up your 'In the spotlight' sidebar button and display on your blog with pride, it's well-deserved.

If you've not already entered this month's challenge or want to add another entry, remember you can enter up to 3 times, then you still have plenty of time to do so.
